The most tragic experience of a person’s life is no doubt losing a parent. A new photo has just landed on the internet which shows that this feeling of loss is not exclusive to humans. Animals like gorilla stays in the jungle and makes this wild world their natural habitat. They live and thrive there and have their respective families. Every animal have the similar feeling of belonging like humans and can become heart-broken if separated from the family.

  1. The heart broken kid
This mountain gorilla is seen to mourn for his mother’s demise. The picture makes it very clear that the pain of losing a parent is real for this baby gorilla. This heart breaking picture has been captured at the Virunga National Park situated in the Democratic Republic of Congo on 12th July. It portrays the heart broken kid with the park ranger Patrick Karabaranga. Patrick is trying to comfort the gorilla to forget the sorrowful incident. The baby gorilla seems to show its empathy by holding Patrick’s leg. The baby seems to seek more support and love from the park ranger. The heart broken picture makes it clear that it’s high time to do something to save this innocent species.
There were three siblings who were orphaned after their parents were killed by some poachers. The gorilla sitting with the park ranger is one of those three siblings who were brought to the Virunga National Park after poachers killed their mother. Patrick showed compassion for the hearth broken baby animal and soon both developed an amazing bond. The baby gorilla seems to have got back mother’s love from the park ranger and mixes with him well. Patrick loves an individual of some other species and spends quality time with the baby. They both communicate with some funny sign language.

Mountain gorillas like this baby are considered to be endangered species due to two dangerous human activities. Firstly, huge deforestation has destroyed habitats of not only mountain gorillas but also other wild species mainly residing in the rainforests. Each day, on an average 80,000 acres of rainforest is cleared off by industries like mining, agriculture and aslogging. Human also put these species at risk by constructing roads through forests to transport various goods. The second threat to gorillas from humans happens to be poachers. They are individuals who access the habitats of gorillas to kill them and transport their meat. Mountain gorillas are easily identified by the wrinkle pattern of their nose. However, this pattern differs from one gorilla to another.

Conservation efforts are recently been taken to restore back the population of wild gorillas. Many international organizations have come forward to help in forest conservation and protect animals. However, this tragic event makes it clear that such efforts are of no use. The heart broken picture above of the two baby siblings makes it clear that there is something more to be done to restrict further poaching incidents.
